Now I personally love Beth Ditto's continuing parade of McQueen that she's been wearing lately. This is no exception - I think the print is phenomenal and it goes so well with her wild hair and accessories. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but for me this is an ace in the hole.
Nikki Blonsky's all black and lace ensemble is a little too safe for my tastes but you can't deny that she looks great. The red belt is a nice touch, I wouldn't have minded seeing more of that bright color on her.
Rounding out the bunch we've got my least favorite of the group. I think this faux-Pucci print on Jill Scott does nothing for her. There is something about those geometric prints that makes me think Tron...
Now I've made my picks but how do you feel about this month's dose of star style? Love/hate them all? Like them OK? Anyone who can explain that pastel Tron sack Jill Scott is wearing in a logical manner gets bonus points.

I suspect JHud's been under the tutelage of Patricia Field and this is the result. Bleah. Unless she's shilling a line of bras )and even that's borderline) this look is very tacky. Dolce it ain't!
I'm still having a hard time with Beth. Yeah, she looks mad cool but for a chick who is supposedly so anti-establishment, she has bought in pretty hard.
Although the MJ shoes are personal favs they should have been switched out for a big shot of color in a Nikki's outfit. And Jill, Jill, Jill...just cause you can get into it doesn't mean you should be wearing it outside the house. I don't know about the Tron reference, to me it's too wide a neck and too shapeless. Trend, schmend. There are other ways of dressing comfortably and showing off those great pins!
i think of them all i like Jennifer Hudson's outfit the most. i think it would have looked better if there was some kind of ruffle-esque detail on the dress where her bra was showing, but ah well. i appreciate JHud's fun and sexy style. she's young, so let her be young and sassy.
Beth Ditto - the outfit gets an 'eh' from me...i dont like clothing that makes big girls look like barrels. :(
Nikki Blonsky - she tried...though i agree the lace could have been left at home. but shes stil adorable
Jill Scott - i was a little disappointed in Jill. while i appreciate her taking on the legging and tunic trend that has been on the scene this season, again i have to frown at clothing that makes women look like barrels.
JHud is looking fine - although the pink bra does have me stymied.
That outfit on Beth has me thinking stained glass window in a cathedral.
Nikki is looking lovely as ever. Not a fan of the dress, but she had no choice - she was modeling for Malan Breton. Love the shoes, though, and her hair was pretty here.
Jill - Tron - no...
JHud: I like that she tried to match the bra to the shoes. When I first saw a more close-up picture of her, I thought the straps were annoying, but I do like that some color peeks out of the white dress.
Beth: The lack of eyebrows does have me a little jarred. And the dress itself IMO looks like a leftover costume from "Hairspray".
Nikki: I blame Malan for this. I feel sad that she couldn't give input into his design like the other Bravo celebs could with their designers (the fashion show was part of their A-List Awards). I would hope that she would have told him to ditch the lace sleeves and give her some damn color!
Last but not least, Jill: I like the colors, hate the fact that it looks like a bloody sack on you. At least you had the good sense to pair leggings with it. But I would be curious to see what it would look like as a dress.
All in all, I think they all look good for their respective shows.
J-Hud:Meh...Her body looks luscious...so much so, that I have trouble considering her "plus-size"...so...considering that, she could do better, sartorially.
Beth:Work it, girl! So gorgeous, fabulous, and so her!
Nikki: This isn't her doing...I've seen her look fabulous...I think if malan lost the lace, she'd look very chic.
Jill Scott:Hah! Tron!! Absolutely. If she's aware of the irony, than I dig the girl for her sense of humor.
OMG I have Jill Scott's dress. It's Ashley Stewart, not LB.
It actually has box pleats on the front and when it fits correctly it hangs straight down in front (at least on my hipless self) and the design is completely different. It's pulling way to much on her.
It's kind of chiffon-ey and the sleeves are actually three quarter, the back is a vee.
I haven't worn it yet but intend to wear it as a dress with some kind of blingy sandals.
To me, it's reminiscent of Liz Taylor in the '70's, when she started getting chubby!
i actually love blonsky's dress. lace and all. i thought it looked very cute on her when she walked down the runway in it. i was just so excited to see a project runway designer doing a beautiful plus size piece!
Jill Scott must be wearing Ashely Stewart because that's who's selling her new line of bras (which I really want to try inasmuch as they banish back fat. Supposedly).
Her music has given me so much happiness that I cannot hate on her for the Tron dress. She can wear whatever she damn well pleases.

I ADORE Beth Ditto's outfit and J-Hud's is cute. Nikki Blonskey never kits the mark with me. I don't know who is styling her but they always make her look older- this outfit included. She has a great figure but she is always dressed like someone tweny years older. Jill Scott- I love Jill but the shapelessness of her top irks me a lil. The colour and print are great- love her hair, shoes and those legs- wow!- but the big tent shape gets nil points!
I don't actually know who Jill Whatsherface is... but is it really bad if I actually rather like the outfit? I think I'm just a sucker for colours... :D

I love Beth's outfit! Fab! I agree she doesnt necessarily wear everything that flatters her the most but its great to see a bigger women playing with FASHION. Plus the stuff she is wearing being a bit edgy, is great. I just wish I had the opportunity. Designers if you can make it for Beth why not give the rest of us a chance. I would quite happily pay the cash.

Jennifer Hudson is my favorite. I'm not a fan of trying to cover up or disguise the beautiful big body. I guess I am feeling a bit more empowered lately after being involved with the BFAB Society, "Big Fat Ass Babe Societ". Big bodies (mine included) are amazing and should be shown off, not hidden.
Why does everyone keep going on about how great Beth ditto looks? She's looks awful and she's going to have serious health problems if she doesn't lose weight. She is about 5'2 and weighs about 210 lbs, giving her a BMI of around 40, which is morbidly obese. Ok, it's no worse than plenty of underweight celebs, but it's no better either. Stunning, curvy, healthy role models like Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson and Charlotte Church are much better role models and clearly demonstrate that you don't have to be stick thin to be attractive. Glorifying women like Beth Ditto makes people ever less sympathetic to weight issues.

This isn't a place where we kid ourselves that we can tell ANYTHING about the health of people we've never met just by looking at a press photo of them, and we don't pretend to. If you don't know sh*it about fashion, then either pipe down and learn something about it or head off.

A large part of fashion is about looking and feeling good, and I'm disagreeing with the comments stating that Beth Ditto looks good.
I wonder why you are so offended...I'm not being insulting, I'm simply stating a fact: being that overweight is not healthy...ask any doctor...or do you think you know better?
Clinical obesity is a serious problem and no amount of clever styling can prevent health problems.
I'm not offended darls, nor am I ranting at you - I'm just saying that we talk about the fashion/style here, not the specifics of the body underneath.
If it was instead a photo of you and the topic was "does her outfit look good?" and someone went on about how unhealthy you looked, I daresay you would want people to get back on topic as well, hmmm?
Fashion, style and image are closely linked. We are talking about the link between body size and fashion, and people's perceptions of the larger figure. I'm just saying let's not kid ourselves that style "role models" like Beth Ditto will ever help people to accept that being larger women can look just as good as thin women. Instead, let's big up the people who get it right.
Okay, so if fashion, style and image are linked then discuss those. Health is a separate issue and should be treated as such.

Beth Ditto looks terrible and no one would think otherwise if it weren't for her music and compelling personality. If this were just an anonymous woman walking around the mall, most people would think she looked hideous.

Its moments like this that makes me want to be a stylist. Sometimes it just takes a fat girl to say "Sweetie thats just not cute on you." I wouldn't want to walk out looking less then fab, especially when I'm PAYING someone to make me look fab!
in fact i just liked the jennifer hudson's outfit. i think the bra has a good stand up in the look because is all neutral and he made a good combination. maybe it may be better in other way, if she wasn't at a premier for sure, but is not thaaat bad.

Jill Scott looks like she's trying to hide her shape rather than dress it. It would make a nice ... I dunno, shower curtain? I prefer when curves are accentuated.
