What do you think? Personally I'm not a fan of MacDonald's chandelier chic (and not just because I've never gotten into one of his shows...), but it's great to see a 'name' designer reintepreting his work for a plus-size icon, and Beth looks fabbity.

I wish Beth's hair had been pulled into a sleek chignon to offset the busy fussiness of the beaded dress. Other than that, I think she looks great.
Chandelier was the word on the tip of my tongue too. Its just too glittery for my tastes but she looks like she's having fun.
I actually think it makes her look kind of shapeless, which she sure as hell isn't. She can definitely pull off the sparkle, though!
I rather love it, but I am easily distracted by shiny things.
I thought she looked ace. I can see that folks who might associate sequins with awful fat girl clothes might have been quite distraught at the vision of Beth all a-sparkle but personally I'd love the opportunity to wear something that spangly and over the top.
Oh I just adore her look - the puffy fabulous hair - with her bangs and the eyelashes - so perfect... and I think the sparkles are fabulous - the dress is "chandelier" in the most fantastic sense of the word, so great, and with the pointy silver shoes, it's poetry
Ihave to agree with Gingembre on the dress-It is kinda shapeless. I'd like her hair if it wasn't with that dress. But the makeup bothers me. She looks really pale. Maybe she was going for it though?
I do love sparkly dresses and Beth Ditto though, so together I have to give it some credit.
I loved the dress but not the shoes..please let the wicked witch die along with the pointy pointy shoes.
Fashion and style is NOT about one size fits all. Truthfully it's about loving yourself, being healthy and knowing what works for you. Dont fall into the "Media" idea of what is Beauty, know that YOU as a Human and Individual are SEXY and Beautiful! --- http://www.plusmingle.com
It needs sleeves. Even skinny girls look bad in sleeveless. Us fatties should always have 3/4 to long sleeves on all our clothing.
JamiSings, with all due respect, you do not speak for all us fatties. Not all of us hate our upper arms enough to cover them at all times.
Also, a phrase like "us fatties should always..." sounds like it's coming from someone who hates us fatties.
I think she looks rad. The thing about Beth is she is confident in her own skin. That's why she looks good in a lot of clothing - because shes confident.

There are some great pics of Beth in Luella, I'll scan and post here when I get a chance!
I think she looks great. If only there were other women of size out there besides Beth Ditto, because she seems to be the only one we ever see in magazines. : (
I think she looks bad almost all the time but she has a lot of self confidence so I cant hate too much. I wonder why she gets so much attention for her clothes because honestly she looks a mess.
Not only should ALL fat women cover their arms - so should ALL PEOPLE PERIOD. Sleeveless clothing is ugly on EVERYONE but ESPECIALLY us fatties. It's ugly on skinny women, normal size women. It's ugly on men. It's ugly on children. And what's worse is 99% of the people who wear it don't seem to wear antipersperant. BO is NOT beautiful.
I'm sorry, but I'm right about this. Sleeveless clothing is FUGLY and NO ONE should wear it, period. It just BARELY works on WWE Divas. And only because they're wrestlers. Outside the ring they need sleeves too.
